Vintage Naga multi strand blue and green necklace, 81 strands
This extraordinary necklace is made of 81 strands of blue and green beads. This type of necklace comes from a tribe in northeastern India: The Konyak of Nagaland. The Konyak were known as head hunters.

Museum or book reference: a very similar necklace in the collection of the French "Musée Ethnographique du Quai Branly" (Ethnographic Museum) in Paris, inventory number 70.2001.8.8.
