Vintage Tibetan Turquoise & Coral Necklace – Antique Himalayan Beads
A striking necklace composed of old turquoise, coral and silver beads, assembled into a more recent composition.
Many of the turquoise beads are flat and show clear signs of previous use. Their form suggests that some may originally have been sewn onto a traditional Himalayan ornament or headdress, possibly a Ladakhi perak. The turquoise displays attractive natural matrix, while the coral beads provide a vivid red contrast.
The large central turquoise bead has an irregular nugget form, cut to emphasize the strongest blue area of the stone.
