Antique Algerian Silver Fibula – Aurès Mountains
A substantial traditional silver fibula from the Aurès Mountains of Algeria, dating to the early 20th century.
The piece is composed of a large circular element and a long pin, forming a traditional fastening used to secure a woman’s garment at the front. Its strong, sculptural construction is characteristic of North African fibulae associated with the Aurès region.
Today, it can also be worn as a brooch or pendant, or kept as a collectible example of Algerian traditional jewelry.
