Rare Silver Upper-Arm Amulet - Bazuband

This amulet box is shaped like a bow with little bells attached that make a sound when they clink together. This small box can be opened.  The tube should contain verses from the Koran to protect the wearer. This box is worn on the upper arm with cords, the cord fasteners are attached to the inside of the bow. This antique jewelry is embossed with floral motifs.

This jewelry is from Northern India, Pakistan or Afghanistan. It may date from the late 19th century.
