Makara bracelet from South India -Madras
This gorgeous bracelet is antique, first half of the 20th century. It was made in India. It consists of two parts connected by a hinge. The bracelet is closed with a screw.
The bracelet is decorated with 2 Makara heads (a mythical Indian animal) whose wide open mouth is biting a sphere (magic bead).
