Exceptional antique Berber silver necklace with a large Tagmout enameled bead from Tiznit Region South Morocco
This spectacular necklace is composed of a very large enameled silver bead and a large silver chain. This large bead, called tagmout (symbol of fertility), was traditionally worn as a pectoral, connected to 2 fibulae by a rigid chain. The traditional chain has been replaced by a chain that was also used for pectoral adornment, but not necessarily with this beautiful bead. It is thus a magnificent composition of ancient elements that give new life to these precious ancient Berber jewels.
This necklace is really beautiful and will not leave you indifferent, you who like to wear these beautiful old jewelry from Morocco.
Good vintage condition, note that some enamel is missing.
