Vintage Turquoise Cluster Earrings – Zuni Snake Eye Silverwork

A pair of vintage silver and turquoise earrings, slightly oval in shape, with a gently domed profile and finely worked cluster decoration.

Each earring features a larger oval turquoise at the centre, surrounded by concentric rows of small round cabochons. Individually set in serrated silver bezels, the stones are interspersed with tiny silver beads within a delicate openwork structure.

The small rounded cabochons and dense cluster arrangement are characteristic of the “snake eye” style associated with Zuni jewelry. The pair is attributed to Zuni workmanship from the second half of the 20th century.

Silver. Turquoise cabochons in individual serrated bezels. Applied silver bead decoration. Openwork construction with a gently domed profile. A hallmark is present but has not been precisely identified; no specific silver fineness is claimed.

Very good vintage condition with light wear consistent with age and previous use. The delicate silver structure is well preserved. Fittings and movable elements are functional.
