Vintage Algerian Silver Bangle – North African Jewelry
A substantial vintage silver bangle, probably from Algeria, with a design strongly associated with North African silver jewelry of the early to mid-20th century.
The bracelet is a solid closed bangle with a broad decorative band. The outer surface is ornamented with a central row of raised rounded motifs framed by finely textured borders and smooth outer edges.
The piece was made by casting. A small guarantee mark is present and may possibly correspond to the French weevil hallmark (“charançon”), historically used on imported silver objects, although the mark is not clear enough for a definitive identification.
The bracelet has been acid tested and evaluated at a minimum fineness of approximately 800‰.

Condition
Good vintage condition with clear traces of previous wear.
There are surface scratches, softened decorative details, darkened recessed areas and minor irregularities related to casting and hand finishing.
The bracelet remains solid and wearable.
Wearing & Conservation
This is a closed bangle and does not open.
To check the fit, compare the inner diameter and inner circumference with a closed bangle that already fits comfortably.
As with all vintage silver jewelry, avoid forcing or reshaping the bracelet.
